Art is the foundation of David Yurman.

Founded by sculptor David Yurman and painter Sybil Yurman, the New York-based luxury jewelry house brings an artist’s vision to fine jewelry, combining sculptural design, innovative materials, and exceptional craftsmanship. While the company was formally incorporated in 1980, the design house was established a decade earlier, in 1970. Rooted in the American craft movement of the 1960s and 1970s, the brand helped define a new expression of American designer jewelry.

The house gained prominence in the early 1980s with the introduction of its signature Cable motif, a sculptural twisted form inspired by David Yurman’s work in metal. Cable became a defining element of the brand’s design language and continues to evolve across its collections.

Headquartered in New York City, David Yurman has grown into an international luxury jewelry house with more than 70 retail locations across the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, and France, as well as a network of wholesale partners. The company remains family-operated, with its creative direction guided by David and Sybil Yurman in collaboration with their son, Evan Yurman.
